So this is the day we disobey.
I can only think that this day is dedicated to civil disobedience.
So if you do celebrate by public demonstration then that OK, but keep it 'civil'

Merlin Stories by Susan McCartney
Part 3
Raising the dead fiasco:
The
servant, Egbert, hid his face in his hands.
His shoulders shook but he couldn’t hold back the peals of
laughter. ‘My poor Master Merlin,’ he
chuckled. He clutched the spell book to
his thin chest. ‘I told him not to meddle with the unknown but he wouldn’t
listen. He would not let her be. Raising a dead wife is a matter for skilled
Necromancers and Master Merlin is not one of those.’ Tears of mirth ran down Egbert’s wizened
face. ‘The chant was wrong, the salts
were wrong, the timing wrong but who listens to a servant?’ He gave a sly grin. ‘It did work though, after a fashion. She’s back to life now.’ Egbert snorted. ‘A pity she’s a frog.’
The power to end all powers:
Merlin raged.
‘Egbert! Egbert you
dunderhead. You have let them steal the
formulae from under our noses.’ The
servant threw himself to his knees, tears and snot running down his thin face.
‘I am so sorry Master. They must have used powerful magic to cloak
their presence. I heard and saw
nothing.’ He trembled under the glowering
gaze of the Magician.
Merlin muttered.
‘Hour upon hour I bargained with the Sorcerer Oppenheimer. Do you know how long it took to raise him? I
forced him to release to me the secret of the most powerful energy of all
time. Now it is gone. Stolen by the Alchemist Satanus.’ Merlin paced the floor growling and his eyes
blazing. He reached again for the book.
‘Surely Sire,’ said Egbert his voice cracking,
‘nothing good can come of such ultimate power.
Only evil deeds. That book holds nothing but misery.’
International Disobedience Day
So this is the day we disobey.
I can only think that this day is dedicated to civil disobedience.
So if you do celebrate by public demonstration then that OK, but keep it 'civil'
Civil disobedience is the active refusal to obey certain laws, demands and commands of a government, or of an occupying power, without resorting to physical violence. It is one of the primary tactics of nonviolent resistance.
The American author Henry David Thoreau pioneered the modern theory behind this practice in his 1849 essay Civil Disobedience, originally titled "Resistance to Civil Government".
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (also known as Mahatma Gandhi) used non-violent civil disobedience in South Africa in a campaign for civil rights for the people who came from India and lived in South Africa. This campaign was from 1893-1914. When Gandhi returned to India, he used civil disobedience in the campaign for the independence of India from the British rule.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, and young activists in the American civil rights movement of the 1960s also adopted civil disobedience techniques, during and after the Vietnam War.
