Happy Saturday
Well we are half way there.......number 15 of 30 poems in 30 days !

Today's guest is Marvellous Marjorie Lacy with a tribute to another poet, the father of a rather famous play-write....

The Poetry Man.

I know a Poetry Man,
Harry is his name.
He can write poems quickly,
none of them the same.
He can write funny, serious, political,
to him, it is all the game,
when he really tells the tale!
He can write the rudest poem
that you have ever read,
(when he wrote about
a London brothel!!)
“What did you just say?”
We said,
It was so bad we groaned,
It was so shocking we gasped.
We held our sides as we laughed.
He is the loveliest of men,
Always clean, always polite
But what a delight, Harry,
The Poetry Man, that I know.

A tribute to Harry Godber,
The Poetry Man.
