Tell me why.............I don't like Monday !
Welcome to day 10 of 30 poems in 30 days

Today's writer is the lovely Lynda McCraight

Her poems is all about a kiss...

What is a Kiss?

A kiss can soothe the pain of bump or burn or bruise, or rouse

A dreaming princess from a century of sleep, and give back

Breath to one who’s dying in the street.

A kiss can be a cipher to seal a lover’s note, be French

Or blown or stolen, or help to mend a tiff.

The silver screen holds us spell-bound, as cupid

Lips caress a cheek,

And in another picture house, caught on canvas or in stone, we behold -

Ancient to modern - interpretations of a clinch.

Kisses are unique as one’s signature or print.

The promise - or the memory - of a kiss can turn you pink.

So, what, then, is a kiss?

A kiss is a little sign that says:

“My love, you get my vote!”

Facts about kissing !

STIMULATES THE BRAIN
When you kiss, 5 out of the 12 cranial nerves are stimulated and more blood is pumped to the brain as the heart rate increases. So it makes you smarter !
BURN CALORIES
When you kiss, there is a significant spike in the neurotransmitter dopamine. This spike causes you to crave for more of the kiss which could lead to more calories been burned, unless you eat your partner...!
IT BOOST LIBIDO
An open-mouth kiss can transfer libido-boosting testosterone to your partner signaling for deeper passion. So the next time you kiss, make it an open-mouthed kiss, unless its your Granny !
MOST GOOD KISSERS ARE BETTER LOVERS
You can determine how good a potential lover is in bed with a kiss since most good kissers turn out to be good in bed too. So you can use a kiss to know if it is worth going to bed with that partner.........where's that mistletoe.....
IT CAN CAUSE ORGASM
Sometimes a kiss could be that powerful. If properly done, some women can have orgasm from a kiss. Not all women will due to their varying capacity of sexual arousal but a kiss can do the trick for some......I used to be great at kiss chase !!
REDUCES STRESS
Kissing relieves stress by creating a sense of connectedness, which releases endorphins, the chemicals that counteract stress and depression.
GOOD FOR BABIES
The pressure receptors in a baby’s body are stimulated when they are kissed. Babies who are kissed often have also been said to have a greater capacity for intimacy later in life.
GERMS CAN BE EXCHANGED
Kissing can exchange between 10 million and a billion bacteria. Although common cold isn’t necessarily exchanged through kissing.
TO THE RIGHT
90% of people tilt their head to the right when going in for a kiss.
