Happy International Twilight Zone Day !!

Today is the day we celebrate this iconic show.

Twilight Zone was created by Rod Serling, who was also the show's host and narrator. The show is a collection of unrelated stories where nothing is as it seems and the end is usually always bizarre and unexpected. The stories on the show combined the features of science fiction, psychological thrillers, drama, horror, and fantasy and were based in the twilight zone.

The show used to start with Rod Sterling's monalog :-

"There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone."

The show made its debut in the United States in October 1959, to immediate critical acclaim, though it took a few years for it to gain popular success. Today, the Twilight Zone is considered to be one of the best and one of the most watched TV shows of all times.

So how to celebrate ??

Interesting Fact About The Twilight Show

Rod Stirling didn't want to be the narrator, his first choice was Orson Wells, but
he wasn't available.

William Shatner appeared in two episodes, "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" and "Nick of Time." Leonard Nimoy appeared as a soldier in the Philippines during WWII in the episode "A Quality of Mercy." George Takei played a Japanese-American man in the infamously banned episode "The Encounter."

Rod Sterling wrote 94 of the total 156 episodes.

The show inspired multiple reunion series, a movie, multiple comic books, a board game, a pinball game, a video game, a radio show, live stage productions, and the Disney parks ride Tower of Terror. Which I've been on Several times !!

The iconic theme tune was written by Bernard Herrmann

The Twilight Zone wasn’t just a groundbreaking show in terms of content: it was also notable for its onscreen talent, as it served as a launching pad for young actors before they became famous. The Twilight Zone was a destination visited by many notables, including Robert Redford (“Nothing in the Dark”), Burt Reynolds (“The Bard”), Charles Bronson and Elizabeth Montgomery (“Two”), Cloris Leachmen (“It’s A Good Life”), Carol Burnett (the aforementioned “Cavender is Coming”) and Dennis Hopper (“He’s Alive”).

Other performers of note include Martin Landau, Robert Duvall, Ron Howard, Jonathan Winters, Dennis Weaver, Dick York, Jack Klugman, and Peter Falk, to name but a few thespians that would go on to bigger fame and fortune.

The Twilight Zone
In black and white
Just as dark
with a creepy fright

They have a twist
and turny end
Sci Fi horror
what a blend

I love them all
without exception
They open my mind
and perception

I used to watch from
behind a chair
As they gave me
quite a scare

But now I want to
write my own
and live within the

“There are not believed to be any other parties involved and the incident is not being investigated as a crime.”
An eyewitness told the Sheffield Star: “A man went into Wilkinson’s Haymarket, went upstairs to the electrical aisle, picked up some bolt cutters, chopped his big toe off and stood eating it.
