International World Population Day

This day was founded in 1987 when the worlds population hit 5 Billion.
The last estimate in 2011 that it has now grown to 7.5 billion.

If we continue to grow this way its is suggested the planet will hit 11 Billion by 2100.

So can this planet sustain that many people? No one really knows. We know we need to look at alternative fuel sources and I think that will have to include food too. We have become too reliant on meat as a source of protein.

So we will face challenges as we move through the century, if not for us, then our grandchildren.

All Gone

An indentation where
You laid
Empty now you’re
Perfumes fade

To kitchen, kettle
Coffee, Mug
No morning kiss
No daybreak hug

Outside the window
All is dark
No love, no light
No life, no spark

A Billion souls
All turned to dust
Ashes to ashes
They all combust

Now just me
The last one left?
Was it always so

Cradle to bereft
