Hi all......

Thanks to yesterdays contributor Elisabeth Basford, I had a lot of positive responses to her Roger Moore poem, Elisabeth even forwarded to the man himself !!! If he answers, we'll let you know.

Today's work is by Anne Rhodes.

Anne's poem was in response for an exercise she was asked to do about sound.

If you'd like to have your work seen by a potential 5,000 a day global readers, then send in your work via the contact box or email me at neville.raper@gmail.com, but, be quick.......I'm getting a lot of submissions.....

SOUND OF SILENCE © Anne Rhodes 26.2.17

Listen! It is the magic of the dawn.

The sound of silence in a beautiful view.

Listen to the silence of breezeless day.

The sound of silence in the pinkness of dawn.

Silence is golden – you are often told.

The golden silence of sound floats round you,

Bathes you in the gold of a setting sun.

Sound comes through your eyes – if your ears don’t work.

If you stand quietly and concentrate

You can hear the silence speaking loudly.

Happiness needs no words – can be silent.

The silence of peace, the best sound of all.

Thank you Anne, a lovely piece we can all relate to.
